Our friends to the south (and a lot here in El Norte as well) are celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Mexican Republic!
Mexico gets a bad rap, and has its share of troubles, but it's also a great nation of warm, kindly (given half a chance), hard-working people, amazing food, beautiful ladies, and wonderfully weird music, and is a major player in providing the USA with its vital supplies of high-quality illegal drugs.
And I say: Good on 'em. A round of Negro Modelos, and a toast to Mexico, on the house!
