WARNING!!! ...Fluff Topic!!

Okay, I've read Raoul's instructions.  Still no chicken.  Please excuse my ignorance of these matters, but I don't think I can do anything about changing the link so that George's chicken comes up on my computer.  Can I?  The way I understand it is that the poster has to make the changes.  So, if it's okay from George's end, why am I not getting it?

My computer is really, really slow these days.  Taking forever to load any pics - such as the pic of the week and the ones Raoul posted in the photo album earlier today.

Ok! I have been completely through all photo albums, and fixed all my links, so my pics should be back!! I may have missed pics I may have posted on threads other than mine, so please yell at me, if you find any.
Ruth, when I posted "my chicken is still dancing", it was, but later, I went back......and it was gone!! But he is back now!!

Making up for lost time    He's back.  All is right with the world.

"Yi, er, san, si, wu" sounding off in the street outside my window.  The poor freshmen are covered from neck to wrist to toe in blue army fatigues doing their military training out in the heat.  Seems to be the white-shirt campus security guys who are doing the training.  No army guys in sight as far as I can tell.  They count to five as they march and then stop mid-stride.  Now they are down on one knee, in the road, listening to White-Shirt talking.  Every so often they all yell out 'hao' or something.  All part of the fine university education, folks.

Mine are singing in the next courtyard.  Still.  Is that the Chinese Army's next secret weapon, lullabies? 

Saw some freshmen at lunch today.  They have t-shirts on under their shirts.  My goodness, they must be melting with all those clothes on and all that marching they are doing.  Wonder if they lose any to heat stroke?  It's all I can do to walk sedately across campus without getting drenched in my own sweat.

Yeah, a few get nailed by heat stroke every year here. You see the others carrying them off never to be seen again. The Dining hall food is always better the next day though.

This is along the same lines as cricketers wearing woolen sweaters when they play in the middle of Summer.  Helps to absorb the sweat and act as a cooling agent.









...or they could just get sunstroke!

I dressed in a powder blue tai chi outfit.  I wore a blue scarf around my head - ninja style.  I jumped into other teacher's classes and yelled Yeaaaah  Wo shi gung fu laoshi

Best I could manage (Prison rules/regs, ya know) was to bring my Green Goblin (whole head) mask to class and to wear it as my students came in.....gave them a glimpse of the "real" me
