Here is an update on the original post. The school board has decided that the school can keep the name Warriors but they have done away with the logo.

About the best that could be hoped for.

everyday sayings that have been quietly dropped in a bid to stamp out racism and sexism are “whiter than white”, “gentleman’s agreement”, “black mark” and “right-hand man”.

replace the phrase “black day” with “miserable day”,

We were and are (for now) the West Hill Warriors.

Dear babala,

You seem to miss the entire point of the schoolboard's obvious pointless stupidity.

Its not  Warriors  that they have a problem with; its the name West Hill!


For those of you who don't know, and shame on you too, brush up on your Canadian geography, West Hill is in the far EAST END of Toronto!
