i cant tell, is that a qwerty or a squirty keyboard.

anyway, I wish i had the camera today on my way home. A reasonably attractive 20ish female was walking towards me and I could not help but notice her tshirt.

1 May was the opening day of the Duck Shooting Season in New Zealand. It is recognised that shooting only one duck doth not a season make.

And so it is in China at the same time of the year - except the prey are dumb and slow-witted  animals incapable of defending themselves. At least ducks can quack!

What's the fine print say, I wonder? You might be able to read it on the full sized jpeg. I'm a little confused about it being boyfriend season (in) Shere [a village in the Guildford district of Surrey, England]. The poor girl's in the wrong country!

I think she is hunting in the right country - unless the lads of Shere can come up with a million pound apartment and a Lamborghini on demand.

As I see it the Chinese graphic artist was doing ok on:

Boy
friend

and then started to run out of space when arriving at the end of the line with:

season

So, as panic set in, the 's' got dropped to the next line, to produce:

shere

As the use of an ' is seen as optional in China, and a space between words is often seen as wasted space, we are often required to translate English into English.

^ Nice explanation. You know I was joking though? My guess is some Chinese see letters as similar to characters, and thus don't see quite the importance of where they fall in a lineup.

There's a brand called PIE floating around in Changsha. I'd happily wear a T shirt with PIE proudly on the front. It's like they know me.

Wow that's a really good one,Pash.I frequently give my students tests on stuff written on their t shirts and of course they have no clue what they mean, even easier words than "lackadaisical".

A student had a shirt that said "Hardcore" on the back in big letters, and then there we a bunch or other smaller words. I didn't want to linger and stare, but I was able to make out the letters in the top right = VDs.
