Leaving the Southland for Shaoxing...am I missing something????
« on: February 11, 2013, 10:31:54 AM »
Here's one taken a couple of days ago by moi off Marco Island, FL., as the sun was setting. I don't know if it gets any better. Cheers, Caley

Well, you won't get sunsets like that in Shaoxing, but there will be tons of other stuff to shoot! agagagagag agagagagag

Caley, I lived on the Gulf Coast for most of my adult life...It's hard to explain the complexity of emotions I have about the place. It was definitely a love/hate thing.

I hear you. My brother spends the winter in one of those "summer camps for geriatrics" near Marco Island. While the weather is truly wonderful in the winter months, the pace of traffic and life in general would drive me nuts if I had to spend more than a couple of weeks in that land of milk and aged honey. Cheers, Caley

Thank you very much, Granny Mae. My first post-secondary education was in photojournalism, and I worked in the domain for 5 years before a wife and children came along and money was in short supply. Since I semi-retired at 50, I've gotten back into my passion for street photography and images telling stories. I hope to capture many images and stories when we again arrive in China next week for a year of uni work. Cheers, Caley
